Have you checked out the servicing costs on a Panigale, not to mention trucking it to GP Bikes for two days?
The 899 has 24,000km service intervals on the desmo valves (which I still don't understand why Ducati insists on that valve setup).
They even claim 15,000 km oil changes. Timing belt is once every 4 years. Its the same on the 1199.
GTA dealers love to contradict Ducati's own specs. Ducati is well aware they had a bad reputation for maintenance costs, and they have been addressing this.
