Spirited Group Rides...

Seriously. What the hell is the point of these types of rides? Let's go to some back country roads and go at least double the speed limit? For what? What are you trying to prove?

Animal jumps out on the road? Dead.
Cop catches you? Metaphorically dead.
Gravel on road in turn? ****ed.

There are so many things that could go wrong I just really do not see the point.

If you want to go fast take your bike to the track.
 
Whats the point of riding a motorcycle? So many things can go wrong even if you're riding the speed limit.
Some guys like to push their boundaries, and although its not the smartest thing to do its their life and their choice.
As long as they dont plow into an innocent rider/driver im cool with it.

I don't really care what they do either to be honest. It's their life.

I still think it's a really stupid and idiotic thing to do though.

Not going double the speed limit. But YUP to this.

Some people can take it, others cant. Going fast when you know how to go fast = Great. Going outside your skill level like you have something to prove = menace.

I would have to agree, however having done dumb things in the past i understand ;)

We have to be young and stupid before we can become older and smarter

I think this is why the OP made this thread; the OP can't take it so he thinks others shouldn't either.
 
There will always be spirited rides You won't find too many people that haven tried to explore territory outside of lawful limits whether SS, touring or cruiser. I am pretty sure any bike or car is capable of exceeding posted pseed limits and at times the conditions of the road.

You need to define Spirited from Balls Out. Spirited can be done safely, running balls you may kill yourself, I have no issue with that exceopt how it affects my tax dollars. I do take issue if you are wrecklessly putting my health/life or another innocent persons health/life in danger.

If you want ot ride spirited, no biggie, but if you want to explore the absolute limits of yourself your bike and the roads, go find a track

All I was saying is you won't get discussion. The majority of it will turn into "if you don't like it don't ride" blah blah blah. Good luck with the attempt anyways.
