Holy price on this unit!Gonna do some read up on this. Back in the day I bought a complete unit off a friend of a friend for $200. Kinda interested in that jammer for bikes though :-/

You can still get $99 detectors
It's only good to the first cop
Then you get it taken anway and $395 fine

Isn't use of a laser jammer is an automatic reason for police to go after you and pull you over ? It displays an error on their Lidars when you have jammers installed. Video of how it works

E03 errors are very common on motorcycle due to their having no front license plate, not much frontal area to lock to, and the headlights being hit and miss. When you connect the jammer to your detector, you can set it for how long to jam the signal. So if you see your detector say Lidar you know you've got 3 seconds to cut your speed (or whatever you set the jam time to). That's how I've always used jammers in the past, just jam enough to get you to a reasonable speed.

If you'd like to test your jammers and I highly recommend that you do ... send me a pm

Without giving too much away jammers require a high level of commitment by the operator and as Jamie posted u only jam for a couple of seconds and then power down

Most Cdn cops have never experienced a jam so they don't recognize it

The error code thing is a red herring

Enjoy the Bel sti + that thing is a beauty

Thanks Jamie for the explanation.

Also, can the jammer be a standalone unit or it must be connected to a radar detector ?

P.S. Never mind. Answered my own question that they are a standalone units. That Antilaser G9 has a 4 or 8 sec. shutoff.

Sure u can run smart cord
But detector will still need to be mounted in ur windshield
Unless u get stir plus that will sit in ur bumper cover

Wait is this a setup ?
You work for OPP ?

I'm not too worried about my car. This is primarily for my MC. If I really want it in my car I can just mount it under my bumper in a lexan case. That way I can easily move it between my bike and car. I can put the smart cord in the lexan case too. I only need the phone in the car/bike.

Jesus that's expensive, I guess it's cheaper just to not speed.

Of course 50+ over and most people will run anyway.
Get caught running or with stunting/racing and you tell me that radar detector is still expensive ;)

God no ... I guess the rap group isn't around anymore? Time to update it

I've been a hobbyist back to the day when RDs only had x and k. There is a get together in May by invite only in Western NY where like minded enthusiasts join resources and test our set ups.

There is a new gun called Truspeed that is starting to appear in Ont. Depending on the mfg and the date of your jammer software you may be in for a surprise.

My reco is Laser Interceptor from the US distributor Cliff he sells packages with RDs as well. This company provides downloadable updates to keep your system current. The other makes .... ??

Awesome but I don't want to spend that much.

I thing a regular detector mounted bellow my headlight with headphones and http://www.crutchfield.com/S-wFtsJP...ronics-Direct-Wire-SmartCord-Red-display.html would be a perfect combo.

Even better, http://www.kmph.ca/products/radar-detectors/escort-live-smartcord.html I wonder if you can fully control the unit and get alerts through the app.

I don't understand how this helps at all? The cops radar detector detector beeps, then they tear apart your bike and give you a ticket.

In my mind, it's better to spend $1200 now and get something that works for years than $200 (cheap detector) + $395 (Radar detector ticket) for passing a cop once.
