The Worlds/World Cup DH course is epic. Fun as hell, with a few "what the **** am I doing going this fast?" sections.

Well, I'll be on a hard-tail..so probably not too much downhill fun! :-) Anyone ridden UP the hill?? I'll probably do the singletrack at the bottom mostly with one grind up the access road and depending on how busy it is, one run down one of the DH runs..maybe the Cup DH if nobody is there.

I've ridden down the access road. Yes, I know it's a lift ticket revoking offense. 100 kmh on gravel is too tempting to pass up..........4 or 5 times.

And peer pressure. Yeah, that's it. Peer pressure. ;)

Was it very busy when you were there? The XC portion of Blue was DEAD when I was there. A few guys were doing DH runs, but we're talking 5. I have no issue with guys going down a double track..I may do the same! :-) I haven't done 2500' vertical in one go since I was in Austria 3 years ago..it could get ugly. What's slope on the access road? Average 10% or so?

You guys are making me so jealous. I'm around on the long weekend so if anyone wants to hit up the kitchener (I think it is) hydro cut, or realistically any trails within an hour or so of brantford (my next new home) make it known and ill be there

Allright lets get some riding in. Doubt anyone is around tomorrow but if anyone is up for it give me a shout. Saturday earlier in the day (like 10 ish? before 1) would be ideal. Sunday is hit or miss, if TMP is relatively open for monday id be around before lunch on sunday too.

Step up people!

Riding tomorrow morning at Dundas valley. Meeting at lions pool again. We start riding at 9:30am. Let me know if you can make it.

My road bike is throwing me a bit of a curve. Going to spend tomorrow getting that sorted so i guess i'm bailing on tomorrow (feel pretty silly right about now lol)

Saturday before noon i'm down for hydro cut for sure tho.

I'm flying to Mont Ste Anne tonight..just sayin.. :-D

Tip #2: Don't eat at the all you can eat buffet restaurant on the right on the way into the resort. Trust me on this.

Seeing the logic only works if you have enough will power to see past the buffet lol mmmm buffet

Well that Mont Ste Anne is a helluva hill! 1 hour up, 15mins down! :-D I took one of the intermediate runs down..that's quite a pounding for 15mins on a 80mm travel fork!!! Time for some St. Ambroise Oatmeal Stout..I think I earned it today!

I felt like I was going down in a Walmart shopping cart!! :-p

The one with the bad bearings in the right front caster that oscillates wildly? I've gotten that cart before.

You need something a little more terrain specific for MSA.

And a pass for the gondola. :D

It's funny..I climbed that access road for like an hour..did some singletrack at the bottom first to warm up..I didn't pass or get passed by 1 bike going up except some guy with a rear puncture on his dh rig going down. I think everyone there uses the gondola!! And they all had mega-dh rigs.. I coulda used a 4" travel dh bike going down for sure..my hands and feet were killing me by the end of the dh portion. Stopped twice on the way down to allow some pain relief!! :-) There was no damping in the fork I had..zero..was like riding a pogo stick down the mountain. Good ride though..very satisfying to knock that climb off.
