Saw this on the Versys forum. Rider first kills a coyote, then gets finished off by a deer. Pics are pretty nasty.

Don't ride like madmen in twisties and there's no need for extra gear. What are the chances of getting a nasty wound like this at normal speeds and normal riding?

Yeah HIS account. Dude look at the first pic, the guy thinks he's King Kong while sneering over a dead animal? He has all the looks of a "Kamikaze Hooligan", the term I give to young unscrupulous punks on SS. There's more to the story and this guy is lying. I can guarantee you that I can swerve and miss an animal that crosses my path at the speed limit.... I know because it has happened.

I've swerved around a deer that jumped in front of me, but only because I noticed it off to the side of the road first... I've been in cars with people that haven't noticed deer/foxes etc, literally feet from them at night. Not everyone has the same level of situational awareness and/or night vision, and I don't think I would've been able to avoid the deer had I not seen it till it was jumping.

That being said, my friends bought me a squid t-shirt recently, so I don't think I'm qualified to post on this thread lol!
 
He was at less than 50mph after the coyote he hit.

And thats when he hit a deer.

Had a similar thing happen to me, karma came back at me.

I was excessively speeding, then i freaked out and slowed down to regular traffic pace, and thats when i got in an accident

With Joe Rocket textile pants (with armour) at 50 km/h, I burned through the pants and my knee (which took 4 months to heal). The armour just rotates out of the way and the thin textile evaporates followed by your skin. Buy leather and use it if you value your skin.

Dude, I've seen many many accidents, and this is easily possible with a 450+lb bike on top of you and you're going down pavement. Ever touched your finger on a belt sander? Imagine that belt is asphalt, pin 100lbs on top of that finger and turn the sander on for 4 seconds and see what it looks like... You'll get the same result.

Im assuming you have all your digits, so I'm gonna guess you have no experience with power tools, but I'm hoping you can follow me on this analogy.

Did you parents keep you in a bubble?
