ahah LMAO the cyber space is indeed a funny place. Ducati started out making radios in the 1950s while BMW was already making flat-2 motocycles in the early 1930s. Talking about history once again its not even close. Talking about soul nothing comes close to my riding experience on the 27000CAD BMW HP2 sport. Ducati fan bois please calm down your company was so ****** at making money they kept losing money every year and it was just recently they got bought by AUDI lol(to fight against BMW of course).

and who is that Shaman dude?
some ex-motogp rider? some ex-wsbk rider? moto2 maybe? if not i really couldn't give a damn what he thinks lol his opinion is as worthless to me as his baseline bike.

I read the data presented, which includes dyno, track time, braking/acceleration times, specs etc. those are measured quantities, right?
don't hate the messenger, man. if you want to hate, just hate yourself.

Because shootout results are facts.. not opinions???
hahahahahaha

Do you repeat the numbers in your head every time you stop at a traffic light?

I bet you have all that shiz memorized... go ahead, admit it.

You still don't get that the Gsxr your refferring to has mild motor work done and has no problem putting down 185whp that's as smooth as glass. Its also an 08 which was one of the best years for the Gsxr, much better than the one being compared to the s1000. Quit talking **** about stuff you don't know and go read some more spread sheets and magazine tests. Better yet come out to shannonville do a track day and see what actually happens.

and who is that Shaman dude?

Someone who actually rides these bikes to the best of my ability, as hard as the bike will allow.

Let's compare some shots of us actually riding... shall we?

seriously dude, you need to get your head checked. your logic is completely flawed.
It doesn't matter what year his suzuki is, it is still a suzuki, meaning the baseline of all baselines. I don't need to repeat that part, right?
In stock form, from 2009-now, no one touches the s1000rr, period. you understand this part, right?

If you want to talk about modded bike vs. modded bike, then there is no limit, which makes the comparsion pointless.

so at the end, what we do know is this:

1. BMW > suzuki in any way, shape or form, let it be brand image, quality or history.
2. stock s1000rr from any year simply destorys any suzuki 1000cc from any era. b/c of the power difference.

just stop talking about modded bikes, I am not interested in those. of course guys like shaman needs to mod his suzuki 1000cc cause it has -20whp to start with lol.

Now now, we all get it. Your toy is better than all the other kids' toys. Now go finish your milk and someone will be along shortly to read you a nap-time story.

Still waiting on those action pics. You talk a big game, you must be a pro-grade rider, amirite? arsenalrocks? Where's your race pics?

Let me give you more, this is from 2009:

I'd also like to see your aftermarket wheels. Here's mine:

C'mon. Astonish and impress us with your breadth of motorcycle experience.

Please, be realistic man, your fully modded GSX-R might get close to a stock BMW (since you are almost 20whp down to begin with),

its just that simple.

You said it, not me. I'm just correcting somthing that you haven't got a clue about.

No kidding, since the BMW I referenced by picture has Marchesini wheels and a full Akrapovic system on it. The look of disbelief on Chris' face when I cruised by him from behind was probably about the same as arsenalrocks has on his right now. LOL Dyno figures are just mental masturbation.

Another thread ended up with people dissing each other's bike... I have an S1000RR and I love it wouldn't trade it in for any other bike, but to be honest several bikes mentioned so far are sick bikes. Let`s be honest how often do you use all HP your super sport bike has on the street (if you are not a retard), as if I am constantly using all that power on the street??? If I did use all that power constantly I wouldn`t be typing this ...

That attitude of my bike is better than yours is really some childish ****! Don`t use your bike to show how manly you are, that`s some pathetic ****! Post your opinion about what you like-dislike and shut up if you can`t say anything that`s not insulting someone else.

I'm calling out arsenalrocks. I'd trade two of my current bikes for one Tuono V4 (but I'd have to pick which two... haha)

Oh sheez... I didn't know he had sponsorship. This changes everything.

Yeaaah thats not exactly how it works, there is definitely a limit (at least given current technology). Power gains will be way larger on a modded GSXR then s1000rr because the bmw is already closer to the limit of whats possible. A done up inline 4 thousand is going to end at about the exact same place on either bike. Yes bmw gives you a little more top end from the factory, thats all tho.

Funny to see how peoples' choices are so spread over the three bikes in the poll, leaves enough room for good discussions :pain10: haha...

There are some fundamental differences in the powerplants, bore and stroke being the main one which puts physical limits on power.

I'm starting to think, either you're really short or you have a very small penis.
