There's a 2010 with very little milage going for about $14K asking price on cherrypicker right now. I considered it but it's the Tuono for me.

Why the tuono over the rsv4f?

C'mon.......... Bimmer all the way!

Its the only bike that comes from the factory with standard heated grips. :)

.

Obviously on the track in race conditions it was harder to utilize all the power of the 1198 but then again Checa seems to have done pretty well.

Isn't Ducati only allowed the 1098 in Superbike? I know in Superstock the 1198 and 1199 are allowed.

On paper BMW is the bet bang for buck in liter bikes IMO. Next is the zx10r.

End of the day Ducati is the sexiest.

I have a friend that owns 3bikes - 2ducatis -1198 + the panigale, and the new rsv4.
He keeps tell me, over the 3s he prefer the aprilia, and personally i like the rsv4 over the panigale for looks and the sound is amazing..just like a motogp bike.;-)

I havent ridden the new Duc, yet. But of the other 2... the RSV4 is yummy

I wish I could get over the Tuono's looks...

For a track bike the RSV just for the noise that comes out of the thing, i dont think that would ever stop making me smile. I couldn't ever see me getting a pure SS bike for the street tho.

For the street tuono > RSV4

Price is another thing to consider here... All in all. I think aprillia is the way to go

I dunno man. The 2012's are sick. They aren't the bike they were 3 years ago

there is no way you think the Tuono looks better than the other bikes in its class...

Looks like the RSV4 is the most popular bike on this forum at this moment... where are the Duc and beemer lovers???

so you would prefer the S1000RR over the Duc, or did I make the wrong conclusion?

You would think that wouldn't you but no, I love twins to be honest, one point though because of what Ducati are doing the line between the feel and characterisitics of the Panigale engine compared to an I4 are blurred somewhat as it starts to feel more like a I4. This could work against them or for them. With the price point and feel more like others it will attract more new customers but the old customers who like the old characterisitics of a traditional twin may not. Personally this year I am loving my 998 over my 1198 which hasn't seen the road at all so I would have to say out of the three I'd consider the RSV4 something I would never imagine saying however the price point is too high so I'd still go with the Panigale out of the three. Talk about a long winded answer sorry LOL

It's like asking what super model you want to sleep with first. Blond, Brunette or Red Head. Then trying to compare which one is better. OK. I'll take the sloppy seconds or thirds please.

My arm chair opinion if anyone cares would be the Ape. V4 power and sound. Reasonable price for all that performance. Won't pull up to one at every interesection. If you do, it's still not a bad thing.

I have a soft spot of Ducs. When not riding, I can just stare at the thing and day dream all day. Simple eye candy. That you can ride.

BMW, my god what a screaming power house. Don't care about the looks because you'd only be a blurr.

Can't use rational thinking for purchasing one of these things. Pure emotion and who ever controls the cheque book would be the factors for me.

For those of you who haven't heard a RSV4 (Tuono V4 sounds roughly the same):

And yeah the pipe is ugly, but it sounds good. Fly-by in the second half of the video.

What a symphony of sound. Puts a smile on my face all the time :)
I guess we should always leave it to the Italians to make things sound so good.
Aprilia, Duc, Ferrari all sound so sweet.
