So your excuse would be "everyone else is doing it, I was just doing it more"? Does that make it right or legal? Would they be the ones rolling on your throttle? Would you be in control of your bike or some anonymous speeders?
I might not agree with some laws, but I can't just ignore them because they are inconvenient to me, and neither can you.
If I break them then there is a chance that I will be caught and have some major issues to deal with. These people may not have expected to be pulled over, but they should have thought through their actions before engaging in them.
You know what the current consquences of excessive speed in Ontario can be, you need to deal with the situation and be in control.
My response was more to illustrate that what turbo implied about 172 reducing fatalities was incorrect. The streets are not in fact safer nor have people suddenly stopped driving 50 above the speed limit.
Perhaps you should go back and read the post again.
