bike is 98 zx6r
i have been experiencing that it does not brake till i press the lever all the way. one of the friend recommended fluid flush. pads and disk seem to be fine. any advice would be appreciated
New fluid and bleed your brakes
what brand would you recommend i know my manual says D.O.T.4 (castrol)
I can flush the fluid for you.
sounds good . i m stopping by royal distributing today so can all the stuff
save your dough get it all at crappy tire
+1
I use the CT dot 4 for my car & bike & doesnt make a difference
Sent from my phone using my paws
When the fluid starts to appear clear or the consistency of new fluidi think i figured it out just hope i can tell when the old fluid is completely out and new fluid starts to come so when to stop
U need to make sure all bubbles are out. Flush until no apparent bubblesand also couple of people mention that i have to flush and bleed the brakes, would flushing the whole thing will get rid of the air in the line.
so I flushed front and rear brakes, My front brake has similar issue that i was experiencing before that brakes do not engage till my lever is pressed half way and then it starts and its good but it seems to close to the throttle. what else do you guys think I should check to resolve that?????
Did you bleed the master?
Also those bikes are known for sticking calipers, a lot of crud gets deposited on the pistons causing a soft lever.
