Sup, I have an 05 636 and can't figure out where to put my gorilla alarm no space anywhere on that thing, I'm open to any suggestions. Thanks.

I bought mine with the alarm secured in the tail section, there is some space beside the "trunk"

Ya I have LEDs which I control with a remote, I use that little spot for the box and the antenna wire. I was thinking of putting it on the front pannel right on top of the raidiator plug with some really strong tape or glue, but I think its not going to last very long.

the only place i can think of is the back.
you can try to tuck it under the side of the tail fairing too

i have the same bike and same alarm, just zip tied it on the right side of the tail section (brake side)

i took mine off after a month, never used it.

why did you never use it? something wrong with it? inconvenient?

There is tons of room on either side of the tail section, on the outside of the subframe...

\that's a good place to put it....

if your trunk is already full....

It would go off all the time (i park my bike with other loud bikes at work) and it either was to sensitive or wouldn't go off at all.

The alarm isn't that loud once it is in the bike, but very loud when you test it in the open.

i think it is just a false sense of security, but that is just me

i have a talon and took it out less than a month in
if anyone needs any parts let me know. talon ain't making any alarms anymore.
i just use a chain and disc alarm now

what's the temperature of your bike when you're sitting at a light? does your frame tend to get REALLY hot after a ride? mine's hot to the touch. after riding home from work (40 minutes or so), the temp for my bike reaches 102-105...is that normal?! the heat radiating from the sides are intense! any thoughts?

Same here... the bike is like burning hot and i feel like my ankle is burning coz of the hot air coming out on the side..

Normal

no experience with exhaust wrap, but when I bought my bike, it came with a cheesy flame looking heat shield clipped to the exhaust just under the rear set. I guess it does the job, I don't experience burning ankles :p

can you take a picture of that? i'm having a hard time picturing it in my head...

Any side effects if I use exhaust wrap?

It looks like **** lol

It will help alot with the heat coming off the pipe that runs beside your right leg on the 05-08 if you wrap that area...

The heat off the engine block you cant really do anything about, when the fan kicks in it blows it out the sides...

I'm not too worried about the part on the right leg...it's just the hot air from the engine that blows out like you mention that's frigging annoying...

Should I do the fan mod and have the fan on all the time before it heats up? Maybe the heat will be less noticeable?

You can add a manual switch, but I dont think it will help you.....Engines are hot, summer is hot too....IMO you just have to deal with it...Doesnt bother me, I guess Im just used to the fact I have a 100+ HP motor between my legs that is going to give off some heat
