ZX10R vs Audi

700hp for a family sedan! thought when the maxima came out with theirs and it had 300 and change was crazy!

because there is people on that road, maybe some children. i wouldnt want my mother or daughter to be on the same road as some 2 vehicles hitting 300 kmph.

take it to the track.

it just goes to prove, laws and lawmakers are as stupid as the rest of us. i belive that no one should be allowed to travel at that speed on a public road.
 
drive that fast here i agree 100% they should be shot, but getting a license over there is alot harder than it is here (note how the others got out of their way, good luck with that here) . and guess what if you dont want to be on a road that has an unlimited speed limit at places, take another one. just my opinion

Only sections of the hwy there are limited, just don't use them. Simple as that.

This has to be one of the stupid posts I have ever read in the history of the internet. People regularly do these speeds on that road. And I'd wager a years salary that they have a better safety record than the 401. People like you make me cringe for our future. You want/need everything around us to be regulated and controlled so you don't hurt your tiny wittle self.

i am probably as old as you are! i dont want or need anything to be controlled. i tell my daughter, "ride your bicycle without your helmet every other generation did". i dont get flu shots, and i think i am one of handful of guys that still wears no visor while playing hockey. i can tell you i am not "that" guy.

so i am nothing like what you assume. i can make a few assumptions but it doesnt really do much for the thread aside from turn it into garbage.

i am just saying i dont think there is room for 300 kmph driving on public roads. think about it for a second. going that fast on an open circuit where anything can happen

I would tend to agree with this. All this talk about better German drivers, getting out of the way, safer vehicles etc is great but when these measures fail they fail big time. All this heartache could be avoided by staying off the autobahn. Simple.
 
Pretty fast for a station wagon. Oh sorry "avant" in Audispeak. Cbcanada, they are within the law so pipe down. As others have said, stay off the road if speed scares you. I'm more afraid of the ginas going 100 in a 40 school zone while texting than I am of speeders on the highway. At least they are paying attention.

The road culture there, especially on the highway is much better than ours. Notice how in the video everyone jumps out of the passing lane when the bike or car catches up to them. Good luck getting that kind of courtesy and consideration here. They are also pretty good about different lanes having different speeds.... unlike people going 100km/h in the passing lane on the 401 here.
