ZRX1200, B-King, Z1000, etc...New (to me) bike time..

I think the message is that there are lots of options in this category - and pretty much you can't go wrong. Though my ride is the FZ-1, I'd ride all of the bikes that have been mentioned so far...

sv1000s. Its not a naked but the fairing isnt that big. You cant easily convert the clip ons to bars.

And you can get an 07 for under 6000. With the 2000 you save you could get a gsxr front end and an elka/ohlins shock and still be on the low side of your budget....

jst a thought it would take some work to to though

LOL barge, not...

I totally agree. Yes the stock bike is a bit overweight and underpowered compared to the repli-racers but the ZRX is one of the most versatile, and comfortable, bikes to ride. I can take it on the track...

AND put 6000km on it in less than a week without any troubles at all.

It has that old school muscle bike feel to it and is a fantastic bike with a passionate following. You wouldn't regret getting one.

get ducati diavel, gonna be a chick magnet for sho!

I ride a 2004 z750 and like it so much I may even go for a z1000 when I'm ready to get a new bike. Reliable as hell and easy to maintain. I highly suggest a corbin seat though, and I put bar risers on for $100 that make it rideable all day.

The ZRX is probably one of the coolest bikes mentioned, won't get you any chicks though. Always wanted one, just has that right amount of 80's to it

I would have a Bking with a set of Two Brother cans on it. Love that bike.

bking hands down... too bad they are a pita to find...

aside from that the zrx is always nice but u gotta do the carbs maintenance. personally i like f/i but there's nothing like the smoothness of old school carbs.
