April? Man, I remember when we had snow in freaking June one year.
This was maybe 15 or 20 years back. Like this year, the winter snow was almost all gone by April, but it wasn't all that warm yet. Then it snowed at the beginning of April, May, and yes, June... though obviously it didn't stick for long in May or June.

Umm... It's not unusual to get snow in early May. Mother's day weekend, the pickeral opener in Zone 17 I can remember shoveling snow off the boat on sunday morning 4 out of the last 5 years. The amount ranged from a dusting to a couple of centimeters. Of those 5 year the only 1 that did not have some kind of snow it was like 17 and sunny.

I could live with a little bit of snow...the problem is when that happens the city/province is going to dump 10 tons of salt on each snowflake again. Sucks when it rains, cleans up the roads, then it gets cold, snows, and the roads stay ******* for a week or more since it is sunny and mild, with no new rain in sight.
The sad part is this year the roads were just starting to look great for riding again in & around the area of the 401. I'm betting even if it doesn't snow at all over Easter or the following week, we'll see fresh brine tracks and salt on the roads again, 'just in case' it does.
Also to add to the potential lunacy, I just saw Toronto's fleet of street sweepers and sidewalk sweepers out in force this week. If they salt, sand, and brine, they'll need to send them all out again. Our tax dollars at work.

I can recall many may 24 weekends where it snowed and ruined plans. Snow in april shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. If it is they have doctors and big machines to check out what's wrong with your brain
