I will vote for this one although I wish we had our own Autobahn here but 130 is still better than 100 :(
 
I don't agree with this. It would only mean more out of control pickup trucks and SUVs. This will do nothing for traffic.
Besides, the practical speed limit on the 400 highways is 120 anyway.
This stupid idea was the entire platform of the "Freedom Party" in the last provincial election, they got like 12 votes.
Even if all that traffic could somehow move faster, this would only waste >20% more gas and make a lot more pollution.

You should be in favor of this.
According to your sentiments, logic would dictate the bad drivers will crash therefore we will have less of them on the roads over time because their insurance rates will keep going up or they accumulate points against their license thus losing their right to drive.

What says you now?

Funny cause i just got a ticket last week on the 403 for 115km/h

And why was this moved to the Romper Room?

How is this not Motorcycle Related? Speed Limits do not affect us?

GTAM should support efforts like these that will ultimately alleviate traffic for motorists (including motorcycles) instead of moving the thread to the useless Subforum

Yet the other morning I went through a radar at 407 and Pine Valley where they always sit. The flow was doing 130 and the cop didn't even look up. The lack of standards across the board is something that needs to be worked on and adjusted in this province.

I second this. Completely motorcycle related. This is probably the #1 issue that will affect 90% of riders out there. It should be put back in the general forum.
 
This has come up in the past and govt has said they will not go this route. Remember they keep posting stats on speed kills and all the old fart drivers who vote drive slow

Speed kills is a fav of the govt taglines because it's easy to find people and causes to blame for the carnage on the roads.

however I will vote simply because I hate the current limits and I think they're fully behind the times.
