borrowed a buddy's extra shark helmet when i first started and with the course. when i got my m2 with my own bike, i remember trekking out to GP/Royal in whitby from downtown with him to get my first lid. i was convinced ill get a shark as it was pretty comfortable but right before picking one and getting in line i saw a clearance suomi entry level race helmet. ended up getting that one instead and rode it home asap. its still probably one of the most comfortable helmets ive had. even ended up handing down to the wife who agreed its still one of the most comfortable helmets shes had on. i ride with the ls2 modular now, chin bar up 90% of the time except when speeds go above 80.
biltwell gringo (non S version) full face was my first helmet. ive since learned that not being able to raise the shield sucks lol.
still trying to find the 'perfect' helmet that has retro leanings but has shield detents when you move it up/down. i've been riding with my cheap bell qualifier DLX helmet and having a detent where you can crack the shield open just a smidge and actually stays there in various riding conditions is about perfect.

Wow! Nava, with the self closing visor. Perhaps ahead of its time. Made in Italy, I think. Mario Andretti wore one during the 1981 F1 season.
