Just wondering how many KM everyone puts on their bikes per year/season?
I just went over 4500km this year so far. Trying to use my bike as much as I can.
I've had my new bike for 7 weeks now and I'm at 6k. I was hoping to keep it under 10 this year but it's not looking good. In prior seasons I would average 7-9ish. I lived out west then and since we got 10 days of nice weather that's not bad
i put 33,000km on a ninja 250r from Aug 2010 until April 2012 when I traded it for an SV1000. I forget what exactly I got the SV at (it was high 20s iirc) and it's mid 40s now. I ride a LOT
I've been pretty consistent around 20k km a year for the past four years or so, give or take a couple thou. Don't aim for that number, just seems to work out that way every year.
5,000km last year (was my first year), and likely between 5,000-10,000 this year (was thinking more, but originally I thought I'd be back out in late March instead of late April).
Part of me thinks the same way, but then I'd never give up a good day of riding simply to keep the km count down. I'd rather use the bike all I can/could and get a little less vs leaving it parked for the sake of resale value. Now if I picked up a classic/show bike, that'd be a completely different story.
god damn where do you guys find the time? I'm hoping to get maybe 6000 or 7000kms this season but I just got the bike less than 2 weeks ago so I missed a good chunk of the riding season. Even so, I intend to make my bike the daily driver this summer and get lots of riding in. I'm already dreading winter.

Just commuting to and from work for me is 250km a week, add in running errands around town, and I'm at 1500-2000km a month without going anywhere. Local joy rides, I try for a 2k km trip once a month, plus one extended 6-8k km trip adds up.
Helps that my work schedule allows for a three day weekend, every other weekend.
