Re: FUC* YOU MT-pleasant......

just be thankful you weren't on yonge st, or your bike would've gotten towed.

Re: FUC* YOU MT-pleasant......

they tow bikes now .... jesus crist wts next

yonge st between sheppard and finch, after 4, and your car/bike is still there, chances are it's already getting hooked up to a tow truck.

Re: FUC* YOU MT-pleasant......

btw your bike's two cars away from the hydrant, did these two cars get tickets too?

Re: FUC* YOU MT-pleasant......

Did one of the cars put his ticket on your bike hoping you'd pay?

Re: FUC* YOU MT-pleasant......

Police have been out in full force last few days. Usually causes more traffic jams than helps.

Most busy streets are off limits for parking after around 3:30pm because it creates congestion for people coming to or going from work. If you park in one of these areas, they'll tow you right on the minute.. and rightfully so.

As for your fire hydrant ticket, you should've snapped a picture and gone to fight it.

Read the parking signs, don't park on major streets during rush hour, problem solved. I am glad they tow vehicles that cause even more traffic then what there is already.

Sorry, but reading the signs doesn't help. Did you know that in North York you are not allowed to park on ANY streets between 2am and 6am during the winter months?

Look at Offence #28. Now tell me how would reading the signs would have prevented me from getting a ticket. Because I'm pretty sure there wasn't any rush hour traffic on that dead end street at 4am, unless you counted a raccoon and two squirrels.

Mississauga has that also. You have to know the rules of the city you are parking in. It's a pain in the *** but that doesn't have anything to do with parking on a busy street during rush hour. 4am isn't rush hour which is what I was posting about in regards with being towed. There are signs saying no parking between certain hours on certain streets, not obeying the signs will get you towed.

Did you know ignorance of a law is not an excuse in a court?

Re: FUC* YOU MT-pleasant......

Make sure you don't break a leg when you get off your high horse.

I'm not an excuse maker. If that's your thing, hey, run with it.

All I'm pointing out is that if someone's angry because there's a law they got dinged for breaking who's fault is it then, in your opinion?

Given your position that I"m on a high horse, I'm sure you've always thought your defense in course would be, "But your honour, how am I supposed to know?" and would work.

Are you thinking yet, or just stuck on your idea that I"m superior in some way. - get it right, by no means do I think I am. But you're obviously offended by something.

LOL; all I could think of reading this post is the South Park episode... "Foook - Yuu Dollpheen!"

I agree with this. Yes, there are many stupid places you can't park and plenty of parking tickets given out just to make cash. But when traffic is slowing to a crawl because some inconsiderate person left their car blocking a majorly over stuffed main roadway that is already designed for 1/5th of the traffic Toronto has, damn right I want to see it on a truck ASAP. Preferably before I get stuck on the road behind it.
