You know you're a rider when....

So i'm a new rider and new to the forum. Reading a post sparked this "You know your a rider when" thought.

I've so far been so anxious to ride that instead of taking it onto the salt, snow and cold weather when it first got delivered i cleaned my garage, parked my car in the driveway and rode my bike the 22+feet forward and backed up (then repeated numerous times) as i tested the clutch sensitivity and brakes.

I've also noticed when i'm driving and i see riders (like today), and i'm driving close, i tend to get protective of that rider.
I literally cut off a driver that was merging into a lane with the biker riding in front of me, probably pissing off the driver, but provided a safe space for the unaware rider.

Is this only me? or have i been assimilated (like the Borg - for you Trekkie's) into the collective minds of a rider?

Couldn't agree with you more! You know it completely changes you as a driver. It makes you a better driver, more aware, and protective of space/time. Glad to hear brother and safe riding! in the coming season

Driving my work cage(Ford E250) sometimes I Shift my butt over to the edge of the seat, lean in and look through the turn on the on ramps while powering through apex...

Also change lanes for Bikes passing and give them lots of space. Last year, watched a cage cutt off a bike getting onto an on ramp, bike stopped in front of car on ramp and I pulled up beside the car so he couldent go anywhere. Let Rider ***** cager out a little.

On man, that bike in fromt almost rolled back and almost did a Ragu.
I was in my cage the yesterday and I waved to a rider...yep that was really gay.

Here's a vid of me making motorcycle noises last week. I'm the camera bike.

I was the girl with the crazy red clown hair sitting out front with a bunch of neighborhood kids teaching them how to tell which bikes had twin-v engines, haha! This year hopefully I will be just pulling out of my driveway on my new ride :)

HAHAHA!!!! That was great!!!! I needed a good laugh. I totally pictured that, as i'd be doing the same thing........... (well, without being a girl with red hair) ;)

"riding a moped is like having sex with a fat chick.
sure it may be fun, but you don't want your friends to find out"

This is awesome! too funny!!! I am going to use it for sure :lmao:

I hate driving a car but love when suddenly a bike appears. It becomes my personal mission to protect them from other drivers, making my drive that much more pleasant.

I'm loving the brotha/sista-hood going on with this forum and group. I trust that everyone has the same outlook and protect our 'own' mentality to make for a safer riding season.

I think almost everyone here sits on their bikes and makes motor sounds at least once during the winter.

I sit on mine randomly, but then shes in my living room so its easy enough to do. I need to climb over her to get a tool and sometimes I'll sit for a min before getting off the otherside.

My dad calls me to give me updates on how my 'brother' is doing. Hes still nice and warm in the garage etc etc.
We all do it and it'll never fade with age.

I've cut off other cars to protect a biker before. Saw one guy really riding a bikers *** in the rain one day so I cut the car off pretty bad then let the biker have some nice space. Sorry but safety is worth being ******* at the next light.

Good...I am normal...Flexrider, I have forgotten I am in the truck and given the wave (two fingers pointed at the ground). I've gotten the wave back too!

I've been waved by cars and trucks when on my bike. I just treat it as a biker whos not riding that day and wave back.

Gonna use a moped? Or a fat girl?
I hope its the moped your gonna use.
At least if your gonna use a chick, at least make sure she's cute, and not too overweight.....
Then be sure to tell everyone here about it.
And although you probably won't take pictures of such and event and use them here, feel free to send them to my e-mail.........LMAO!!!!!

I actually like going into the garage and smelling the bikes...

I dont know if the newer bikes have that smell? But mine are a bit old and i go in there and take a deep breath and i can just sit there cuz it smells so nice

I wish they can make a car freshner that smells like that...

I couldnt sleep all night thinkin about riding today (sunday)
