Just had my M2 license and looking for a place to practice using cone.
And worry about trespassing issue, can you share someplace can be legally used for training purpose without any trespassing problem?
thanks!

It's not trespassing until after you get asked to leave :/ Unless you own the parking lot or know who owns the parking lot and get permission being asked to leave is possible.

Many people use go transit parking lots on the weekends as they are almost empty. If you get asked to leave, comply quickly and find a different spot in the future.

I'm sure its fine to practice in any parking lot. Sure, you might be told to kick rocks but if you comply, its no biggie. If you're stuntin around and refusing to leave then cops are probably gonna get involved.

Use to lay out a cone course then rip at the Oakville Go on our SM bikes till the cops showed up. Usually took a good hour at least. 450 race bikes. Not exactly stealth.

Staples Head Office
6 Staples Ave, Richmond Hill, ON L4B 4W3

Use Staples Avenue if you want a longer straightaway

I used to practice at the nearby Community College far parking lot.

Tried it with a student a few weeks ago, Seneca security came over almost immediately. We were asked to leave.

Tons of options at hwy 7 & Yonge. Or any highschool parking lots nearby to you.

Try a high school parking lot. Not good if you’re practicing wheelies, but nobody will bother you if you’re practicing low speed maneuvers.

Used to go to the Humber Queen's plate parking lot which is where they taught the pro rider course.
Only issue would be if you have loud pipes, the neighbors will get upset and call it in.
Alternatively, I've also used Woodbine Mall early in the morning before the shops open.

Probably all the GO station parking lots should be pretty good. Also any Banquet halls

I actually like the loading areas behind industrial malls as out of sight and some good practice riding over the ramp humps. Usually a good loop around the front and around the rear without pause.
Google is your friend.
these places look linked front and back. Should find lots of places around there

Two weekends ago I was doing some practicing and lessons for a friend in the Oakville Place parking lot. Saw the security guard and asked first. Was told to finish up the practice by 9:30am and it was even suggested to use a specific lower lot because it was the least used and most level. It was perfect and we got 2.5hrs of non stop practice in.

Last weekend I took two other friends to the parking lot at John Fraser high school in Erin Mills - this time at 6pm on a weeknight. Parking lot had cars coming and going and it was also smaller and dirty so I wouldn’t go back there. Across the street I could see huge empty parking lots at Erin Mills Town Centre, but figured we would have been kicked out of there for sure.

If anyone has other suggestions for lots in the Mississauga or Oakville area post them up!

I think you might be okay there Shane ....many people park there and walk to the hospital across the corner. Depends on time of day.
This was our go to area with the 403 next to to the rear of buildings no one ever bothered us and there were staff picnic tables to take a break at.

Stay out of the Honeywell lot tho ....very quick security to chase you.

Thanks. That commercial area is super close to my house as well, so I'll go and scout some of those parking lots out. The key for me is having good quality pavement for threshold braking and figure 8's.
