I agree, you've been more than charitable towards people who only appeared to have contempt. Screw them. There mere fact that you asked for an explanation rather than becoming beligerant or defensive in reaction to their responses speaks very well for you IMO. That doesn't mean everything is hunky-dory though. I mean sure, you can go on blisfully posting vapid responses like Awwws and Muffins to your heart's content but you wanted to know why people have a problem with that so I'm telling you. Listen or ignore me, up to you. Just don't be surprised if people find you annoying or airheaded.
That is not what I think of you BTW. I see in your post the plain enthusiasm that a lot of people have when forums were new to them. Myself included. ...well OK, I was never THAT enthusiastic!
But eventually we all learn that these kinds of forums aren't suitable to endless idle banter. At some point you're expected contribute some substance to the forum. The preferred medium for your style of discussion is an IRC chat client, where things happen live, instantly, and are not preserved for more than a few seconds.Then again there's nothing to prevent you from carrying on like that here as long as you're informed of how people will react and you're willing to live with it.
