Yamaha R6 Rattle?

I have a 2010 Yamaha R6 with 7,800km on it. Noticed there is a slight rattle when the bike is at speed (any gear) and the rpms are between 5-5.5k. I tried searching for possible answers and found that yamaha's have this constant rattle, but even at idle. The rattling I hear is only at a certain rpm. I thought it might be the cam chain tensioner but the bike only had 7.8k on it, would it really be shot already? Plus the sound can be heard equally on both sides of the bike near the top of the engine, sounds like a tambourine of metal but not painful to hear just rattles lightly but only a 5-5.5k rpm...Normal or ??

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

have someone with a trained ear to listen to it. /post a video

My '07 did that and one forum mentioned to check your motor mounts. Sure enough I had a loose mounting bolt on the frame slider. I checked the others and the vibration went away. Weird but it worked.

Have the same issue with my 08 and it was the motor mounts that need some tightening that causes the vibration and rattle.

Alright, this weekend I'll look over the bike and see if tightening some bolts will fix the problem. Thank you for the help ppl! *crosses fingers* will update if it works or not.

"ChaseOn2Wheels" (YouTube motovlogger) recently had a similar problem with his R6. It turned out to be one of his exhaust header brackets that was loose and rattling at a certain RPM.

Could also be your valve timing, though you usually hear that across the entire RPM range.

I made a quick video trying to pick up the rattle sound. You can hear it sometimes as I move the mic around the bike, doesn't sound as painful as some other YouTube videos....is this normal??

sounds like the yami tick. mine does that too sometimes. But like other people have posted could be a few loose bolts, but from the video it seems like the yami tick, learn to love it haha
