Anyone riding/ridden one? I know its a pretty new bike, but im just doing some fact finging. I'd love to add one to my garage next summer.

those things along with the fz1 have horrible resale value. unless u plan on keeping it forever, consider the triumph.

friend has the SpeedTriple. And frankly, love the look of the FZ8. On the upside with the bad resale : I dont intend to buy for 1-2 summers, so hopfully i can make use of someone elses terrible resale value ;)

I'm not sure where you're getting this idea from. I've been keeping an eye out for an FZ8. I've yet to see a used one on Auto Trader or Kijiji.

Bad resale ??? They just came out!!

Would you mind sharing these sales numbers my model ytd that illustrate your prediction of the FZ8's success.

What would you recommend? a gixxer?

yup, just came out but shares most parts with the fz1. no one buys the fz1, think fz8 will be different? hardly.

I think the FZ8 is a great bike and I love the naked looks. Seems like a perfect street bike to me.

Onewheeldrive on youtube had an excellent review of the FZ8 - you should check it out.

If only they brought over the fully naked FZ1 like in Europe, I'd buy that. I hate the front fairing on the FZ1 in North America, it just doesn't look right.

You and me both ;)

The FZ8 has a very comfortable seating position. The seat is soft & comfortable for the short ride I did.

Supersports have about 4" suspension travel. The FZ8 is 5". Yamaha markets the FZ8 as a sporty handling bike, but I found the suspension to be a little on the plush side for spirited cornering. The plushness is probably to make use of the extra travel. The nice thing about the plushness is that it's way more of a comfortable ride on the bumps than a supersport. Unfortunately the FZ8 does not have damping adjustments.

The power is great through-out the revs. Good low-end torque comes on early & pulls nicely to redline.
