If she is not opposed to naked - Gladius would be a good choice. It sits low as it is and can be factory lowered another 3 inches.

BECAUSE apparently in ontario its easier to insure a 600SS with 1 day of m2 experience and you only pay 1200 if over 25 yrs of age!

(she has 1 year...just saying theoretically you could have just upgraded to your m2 and your off on a 600ss for 100/mo)

found a 09 fz6r if anyone wants for 4700 he will prob take 4000$ its a MESS! needs forks, and about everything else. prob a grand to fix... its yellow on kijiji. guy is a prick.
now its down to the fz6r and the zx636.
she is worried that the fz6r wont be fun, too geared towards newbs, etc. (reading reviews all night)
however from what I can see its a little rocket. 1" lower seat, 3.8 sec 0-60, quarter mile in the 12s.
and for those with bad wrists...its not clip ons.
the one we are "buying" tonight is the Raven, same scheme as the 09 r1 - has pazzo's, led's, rizoma bar, hid, very well maintained. excellent price.

Good for her to try it out - stop reading reviews and actually try the bike. I tested so many bikes this year and some of them were supposed to be my ideal next bike just based on specs and reviews. After actually riding them - not even close. And some which I did not even pay attention to - really surprised me.

Exactly! Same here! I loved everything I read about 636, but it really didn't feel right to me after I borrowed my friend's 636 for a few hours.

Funny this was my exact delima this spring. I chose an 07 600RR and got a smoking good deal on one at that. Also just to mention I know about the price point the CBR's always tend to be higher you just have to be quick on the deals when they pop up. Mine the previous owner had gotten into some financial difficulty and Honda was asking for their money so I ended up actually buying the financing out and taking the bike for less then the one you are looking at. It had 10,000km was dealer serviced with all records and did/does not have a scratch on it.
too funny though, she loves the FZ6r but wonders if its too slow..
