would you ride to PA with my rear tire?

Alot of great points and like many have said if I am wondering then its probably time. Also they will be done and need to be changed when i get back so why not get some fresh rubber and enjoy them before the end of season! Thanks guys!

Also, if I ordered today do you think I could have them by next Wednesday? he is still the cheapest right?

how about ride to NY easy and have the tire change there before continue your journey with new rubber down to PA?

It's done. you have to consider two things on tires, the wear and the age. Old tires get hard and are useless in rain, regardless of tread depth.
Count on rain, count on cold. The last thing you want in life is to end up in a US hospital.

Was thinking of that option actually but not sure how long the shops would take to do it down there and have no idea if they know wtf they are doing

I found this guy on kijiji from dukes of cycle( never heard of them before) and i called him.. pretty good prices if not cheaper then pete! For a set of 2ct's with a 190 rear is $300 cash out the door....a set of pilot road 3'S $350 cash out the door. No bad!

Yea he's pretty quick.
Call bluestreak he will most likely price match Pete's.

Call Darryl @ Competition Cycle, i don't think Dave is back to work until next week.

If you are looking to save money they have lots of scrubs available.

Bring a plug kit.

Lol was there on Wednesday actually dave is back... scrubs will still be about $180 but I would rather buy a new set for $100 bucks more.

It'll make it but why wouldn't you change it now? Are a few dollars worth a low risk of catastrophic failure to you?

Your bike will also handle far better.

I got the order page open from Pete's... think I am going to pull the trigger on the Q3's.... think they would get delivered by Wednesday?

True on that, unless you have travel insurance, a hospital visit can bankrupt you.

Even with travel insurance. You need to read those policies carefully, many of them have high deductables, and low caps. Either way, you will likely need a lawyer.
I used to race bicycles in the US. I would not even ride one there any more.
Canadians think that having health insurance in the US is like OHIP here, its not even close.

Yes, order right now.
I ordered my new rear tuesday around noon, was at my door thursday (yesterday) at 1pm.

I am sorry I have disappointed you... you are right.. I'm stupid! I will change it and never ask a dumb question again... am I forgiven?

I will forgive you if you do the following:
1. Don't ask such a question again
2. Bring back pics of a cute girl flashing you

Now git er done and have fun!

the first one I cannot guarantee you, but the second one I could definitely get it done.. but worst case I will send you pic of my nip.

$350 for a set of PR3s is an awesome deal. I use a 190/55 rear and paid $400 with tax and shipping from Pete's for the set. If you get your order in to Pete's today or Monday you should have them by Wednesday.

Ya he is pretty good but he does not have the bt023 or Q3's thats im looking for
