Would You Like To See A Suzuki GSX-8R In The Future?

🤷‍♂️

They late to the yamaha/aprilia party, maybe it will sell or do well in the middleweight races

I would have liked to see them make an SV650R for trackday enthusiasts. An SV with a full fairing, better suspension, brakes, clip-ons, 180 rear tire, ride by wire, quickshifter, slipper clutch, a decent readable dash...

If all of the above end up on a GSX-8R and it's reasonably priced, I'd be interested.

Maybe the "R" bikes only ride around the city or on weekends because I head out for 800km rides in the countryside and rarely will I see one. Lots of cruisers and ADV bikes though. This leads me to believe an 8R wouldn't be a money-maker.

Are they even available in Canada yet ? I haven't been into a Suzuki showroom in a very long time.

Imagine if Suzuki listened to its customers? I guess they did once upon a time, but they clearly don't anymore....and it's clearly showing.

twin or inline four gsx-8r ?
inline four wouldn't be any different than a gsxr750.

and suzuki already has a 800 sport twin.

Their 800cc P-twin is Euro 5 compliant which means they'll be shoe-horning that engine into every model in it's lineup including this proposed GSX-8R. Euro 5 was the main hurdle in refreshing their motorcycles and is the reason why the GSX-R1000 was discontinued.

Gotta stay close to the pumps!

they're busy inventing *checks notes* ...helicopters these days

I don't think they care about motorcycles as much as we care about their motorcycles. Japanese culture is hard to understand. It shows in their Suzuki Museum. Compared to other brands, it's very modest. Looks like the end of the road for them...they are constantly too late, too little to the show. And they show zero interest in listening to their customers, unlike other brands:
