Oh of course that too. We can pick apart the goaltending, defensive zone breakdowns, team discipline and coaching but to me, this team man for man also didn't mentally execute and show composure when it mattered most. We were asleep in the semis against the Americans and fell behind early in the Bronze medal game. Last year, we didn't start playing hockey in the semis until we were already down 6-1 against the Russians. A lot of that is psychological to me. We were shaky this entire tourney. The only solid 60 minutes we had was the 4-1 win against the Russians in the round robin. A few years ago in the gold medal game against the Russians, we stopped playing in the 3rd period and looked completely dumbfounded and in shock when we surrendered a 3 goal lead.
