Not sure I believe he suffered brain damage, he was breathing throughout. I believe it's a couple minutes without breathing that brain damage starts to be a concern.
 
He can breathe all he wants, if the brain isn't getting any blood he's fubar.

If he's breathing then his heart is beating, and he's getting oxygen to his brain. It just wasn't enough oxygen to allow him to stay conscious. At least that's what I got out of my 1st aid training.

And if someone is constraining the arteries in his neck, his brain isn't getting blood. That's what a choke hold is.

Yes, but only long enough to pass out, not to do brain damage, AFAIK.

But I'm no expert, let's wait for rmemedic to chime in.
 
That makes no sense dude. If you can hold it long enough to make someone lose consciousness from lack of blood flow to the brain, you can hold it longer and cause brain damage. You can also then hold it a while longer and kill them.

What a dumb *****. I feel sorry for the guy, but if you can't get out of that you're a ***** yourself. Regardless she needs to get locked up and all the dumb ****s around her who just watched it happen. If that was guy on girl people would be stomping the **** out of him and calling the cops in an instant, ****ing pathetic.

btw Im not saying with any authority that the guy in the video suffered brain damage... I'd be more inclined to think it takes 4-5+ minutes of holding tight to actually cause damage but Im no scientician.

Sure, but that's not what happened in the video. She released when he passed out.

No she didn't. He stops resisting at the 30 second mark, a minute later the other dumb ***** lifts his arm and he doesn't react while she keeps on holding then all the other stupid whores cheer her on...

I see him still conscious until at least 1:25, then she releases by 2:15 and he's breathing all the way through. Anyways, maybe he got brain damage, I'm just saying I doubt it.

dude you tarded? Breathing heavily does not mean you're not passed out...at that point he's getting no oxygen to his brain for any other bodily functions, he's on auto pilot trying to get whatever he can to keep his heart pumping. You'd be one of the people in the crowd just watching it happen wouldn't you?
 
What an idiot! If she doesn't know what she is doing she should not be doing the hold. FYI - a choke hold applied correctly for 2 secs will knock someone out, 4 secs will cause brain damage. This idiot was holding it for over a min. he is definately brain damaged. No question about it. The brain cant ho that long without oxygen, hes lungs may have oxygen but it wasn't reaching the brain.
 
It takes roughly 4 minutes for brain cells to die off from lack of oxygen. At around 6 - 9 minutes you are doing serious damage to the brain that is irreversible. After the 9 minute mark you are more than likely considered deceased.
