GTAM skiing/snowboarding meet?

I cant wait for snow
Planned winter #1: Bristol Mountain, Jay's Peak, Quebec mountains (massif, tremblant, stoneham) + blue mountain pass
Planned winter #2: Whistler, Jay's Peak + blue mountain pass

Blue mountain is coming up with new snow cannons + piping... looks promising.

@mmmnaked: they have a evening class of 'learn to ski/snowboard' i think for 60$ you get an evening access to
1- rental
2- learning stations
3- beginner slopes

good deal!

I'll be doing Lake Placid in December and Telluride in February/March. El Nino year..good snow for Telluride!! :-)

Dunno maybe it's just me but I didn't find Jay's Peak to be all that. I'm sticking with tremblant.

If you do, take up snowboarding! Less chance of blowing out a knee..and at our advanced age... :-D

Excellent link, but you're still a prick for saying the W word...

I've been into boarding for probably about twice as long as I've been into bikes. Barely boarded the last two years now though. I think bikes kind of killed some of the thrill of boarding for me. Going 60km/h on a board just doesn't seam all that exciting after doing 250km/h+ on a bike.

Winter? Since I live in Ontario I never see any winter, its just, summer, freaking long fall, spring and summer again.

I plan to ski minimum 4 times this winter. Always in Québec, I have free beds over there :D. Its usually: Massif (both of them), Stoneham, St-Anne, Le Relais (for the girlfriend). I avoid Tremblant like HIV, way too commercial for me.

Edit: Who want to shovel with me? winter 07-08

Tremblant is slightly overpriced...
weekend at jay peak costs me 200$ for ticket + chalet
love jay peak's glades! its just some kind of tradition we start 3 years ago, and we keep going back for more :)

Crashing motorcycles has been a knee-destroying hobby of mine so maybe you're right about jumping on a snowboard instead.
