Yeah, especially in winter, when the prices of replacements are at their nadir and when (since I'm not likely to be riding much in winter anyhow) I'm unlikely to be bothered by being bikeless for a few weeks while sorting out insurance and finding a replacement.
Condo thefts will always run rampant -- it'll never change unless the authorities crack down on it and impose harsh penalties. I don't see that happening any time soon.
I don't know about you guys, but I'd prefer to keep the $300-$500 Comprehensive deductible in my pocket. I would never park my bike in a Condo lot, and it's sold old that it wouldn't be much of a target for theft anyway.
