I have a set of icons in the garage to put on my car but the factory wipers are still happy three years in. My car moves the wipers a little every time you park so the blades don't always rest in the same position and that supposedly helps them last longer. Too many variables for me to know if that is truth or marketing (the blades definitely park in different spots but I have insufficient information as to the potential positive benefit).
For my wifes car, I normally get michelins from costco and replace as needed (every few years). Meh, they are fine, not too much money and I have no major complaints. I used to use summer and winter wipers but stopped switching over a few vehicles ago and just leave one set on year round.
