Why you ride: Are you compemsating?

Started riding in 1987 on a dare from a friend, she had started the year before. Said she would tour Europe with me if we did it on motorcycles. Got my licence in April '87. By July I was in Europe for 3 months touring ... what was I thinking as a newb rider??? Definitely a trip to remember !!!

What started as a dare is now truly a passion

That beats mine. Wish I had done Europe back then. Still trying to get over there on a tour. Maybe when the kids have moved out I'll follow Lightcycle's footsteps.

Once in a lifetime and you may find yourself riding shotgun and you may find yourself in another part of the world and you may find yourself riding a big motorcycle and you may find yourself with a beautiful wife and you may ask yourself, well, how did I get here?

Simply brilliant.
Wait! That's not my big motorcycle! That's not my beautiful wife!

Don't want to ride shotgun on a motorcycle, don't want a wife. I'll get there.

Of course not but once in a lifetime your BMW might break. The wife? Roger that!

A man needs a maid.

If I'm riding it's because I'm not at home screwing and riding is the next best thing. Does that count as compensating?

maids and hookers are cheaper. Even better if you could combine the 2. Probably more satisfying too.

For anyone who has been badly burned by a woman, I can understand that sentiment.

If it floats, flies or fucks, it's cheaper to rent.
