He went from full lean to full upright rather abruptly.
His inside peg likely hit the ground, and the with the weight of his foot on it, it would push him upright pretty fast.

There's a follow-up to this. After the vehicles were taken away from this wreck, another rider crashed in the remaining spilled fluids on the road, which were apparently not very well cleaned up nor was there any warning given of potential hazards ahead.

The fluids were caused by the collision. They are not an issue today but I saw the marks from the crash and spill.
