why the hell am i getting such insane quotes?

Hey Zaneris,

Can I ask you which insurance you are with and how much you pay based on your riding experience and license.

Has to be SF as they are the only ones that you need your G for 5 years.

Honestly there is no point in looking around as for a new rider on a SS, you are not going to find anything cheaper then your SF quote. :D

Yep!

I pay $90/mo which in Toronto for an SS... in Ontario is amazing, that's with a clean record and G for 7 years, they don't even care how long you've had an M for.

I'm 27, been riding a year, and have 1 ticket/ 1 at fault. I pay 1599$ /yr for my r6 at SF. My advice: get your G then go for your M!/M2.

sf
1 ticked 49 ovor (counts as minor), your allowed 2 tickets for b plan
29 (same price at 27)
paing 1000 year for full coverage on 98 gsxr 750

I think you should pay more.

Why?

Bc stupidity should cost you something for doing your G2 test three times and not just doing it the first time.

Then to post online how mad you're about the price you got quoted.

Stop being so irresponsible and lazy and get your full license etc. Get your act together lol

Tell your patents they can send me a Christmas card this year for doing their job for them.

LOL, WHY U MAD? So you think how long you had your G has so much to do with how safe you are on a bike? SO if the bank raises your mortgage rates cause you have a speeding ticket would you be ******? Or would you be an idiot for getting a speeding ticket and we all get to laugh at you?

Point is, the bike insurance system for bikes makes ZERO sense in Ontario. I had my full M before I had my full G and was getting absolutely RAPED on bike insurance for a number of years because apparently I was less safe with 2-3 years of bike experience and a full M than a n00b with a G and an M1.

OP, get a quote on something like a ducati monster from these guys:

http://www.ridersplus.com/

OR get your M2, and wait a year and you will get decent quotes from Jevco on non-SS bikes even though you're a new rider with zero experience.

I'm not mad... as said earlier...

I didn't make the system I just have to work with it. (just like everyone else)

I understand how he feels. I have a seat belt ticket from 2 years ago that affects my bike insurance... does it make sense ...no! do I ask stupid questions on the forum about it.....no. I paid the ticket, and pay the increase in insurance and work with the system at hand.

It is what it is man!

He's gotta get the full G to get the discounts he's expecting. End of story.

Little you and little him are not going to change the way the insurance companies do business sorry.

Best to pucker up, get his ***** together and get his full G or pay the price for not having it.

Pretty simple to me.

This deserves best post of the year. Hands down.
I'm reading about the OP being hung over at his G test, and then redoing the G2 twice and I'm shaking my head.
Hey 09SV650, give me your address. I'll send you a Christmas card for that post. :lmao:

on a 2012 ducati monster 696 abs

1,000,000 liability
1000 collision
no comprehensive
1000 specified perils

a grand total of $3017.00

just laughing right now.

Sucks, I used to pay about $2400/year for my S2R 800. Still double what I pay for an SS now but that was the best I could find.

+1 to this and what others have said, this is what you get for sitting on your G2 for so long, I'm the same age as you but my insurance is dirt cheap through state farm for my zx6 because I got my full G at like 19.

Yup. Sat on my G2 for 2 years and I feel the burn from insurance. Can't imagine how bad it must suck redoing it for 8 years when you should finally be getting great rates. You must be a terrible driver.
