Why is all of ROGERS DOWN- no cell-no web-no landline for cust service

It seems that all of Rogers is down
started around 6:15pm

no cell
no web
their customer # 1888-rogers1 is fast busy

only data kinda works on the phone and some sms will go

Did they get hacked?
Wow what a blunder considering most ppl rely on their cellphone.
I hope nobody is trying to reach 911.

bell fido rogers telus are down

only thing works is data. Text will go through if it's via imsgr or soemthign similar - which again requires data.

Internet service works but not land line or mobile
 
Teksavvy through Rogers line is fine.

The Rogers Cable Monopoly seems fine. i.e. Cable TV works.

Outage is country wide. Rogers' Facebook page has lit up like a -D- troll post.

I get Rogers notification bulletins and here is what it says:
Start date: Wed, Oct 9, 2013 at 6:00 pm EDT
Work summary: Please be advised that customers will be unable to place voice calls on 2G, 3G network. SMS/Text messaging also impacted. Network Operations is actively working on this. More updates to come.
Translation: we are down, looking at it and there is no ETA on when it will be fixed.
Same old, same old.

Bell is not down, i just called my wife, she didn't answered because she is with rogers lol
 
bell was down earlier. it was actually up and running for an hour now. This is home phone and mobile

Switch to Wind for a total cell phone bill of $6/mo!!! On good days it works slightly better than how Rogers is working tonight ;)

That's if you're in Toronto. Get out of GTA, and you will have a brick in your pocket. The only service that we have from Robbers is our 2 cell phones. Still wishing someone like Verizon came to this country. Oh, and both our Robbers phones worked throughout the day (Etobicoke). Weird, eh?
