Interesting premise. That's why I've been using a headlight modulator at intersections for well over 10 years. It's off most of the time but approaching an intersection, passing vehicles or when I see some type of potential threat I turn it on to draw attention to the bike

I like the suggestion at the end of the article, to say "bike" if you see a bike. More drivers should take that advice.

I always figured it was kinda like married couples
where hearing and listening do not always co-exist

except that's with ears and this problem is with eyes
