Why do people put so many decals on their bike?

I have 2 memorial stickers on either side of the tank for a bud that passed from cancer in 2010, 2 Empire cogs on my saddlebags (star wars nerd), and my 2 stealth KCCO stickers on the sides of the saddlebags (shiny black stickers on flat black bags). It comes down to personal preference, if you don't like em, don't put em on. Ride and let ride.

That and you have to do them in pairs, it's a symmetry thing

I was genuinely curious as to why. I was hoping people were going to tell me for discounts but that doesn't seem to be the case at all. I learned something.

My user name says it all....

It's kinda like the rice rockets...you know those econobox cars that pretend to be a sports car plastered with stickers all over...it gives them 50 more horsepower because of that, guys that plaster their bikes are wannabe racers or the stickers cover the damaged areas...it's understandable on the pure race bikes but not on a street bike!

Who knows...

So you're telling me this is a no no? Damn it! I just ordered the 50hp kit from ebay :D

I have stikcers on my bike, however they are the stock stickers that are supplied by Honda, when a Repsol Edition CBR is purchased. I think it adds to the Repsol and completes the replica look. My 2 cents anyways.

That is fine...coming from the factory is all good, the the real question is about the stickers that are plastered on a bike for every little part that's or has not been added, just like on the Honda civics with that huge JL Audio sticker on the back window lol!

For faster video streaming, downloading and hardcore gaming, I added lots of stickers to my laptop.

Where are you suppose to put the stickers then? Every time I buy a bike accessory it comes with a sticker or two......

I save mine in a folder or put them on my tool box!

to each his own....

btw, I've actually seen vehicles with very amazing stickers...I was on the DVP when a 2004 C4 corvette complete with wing and all kindsa stickers blasted by me at may 130kmph...looked very cool!

Mostly accomplished races would be the only ones that would get kickbacks, free parts and at national level paid to have stickers on their bikes.

You will not see a single street bike with stickers from a sponsor, they don't sponsor you to pose at L&L :)

the best sticker to have is....support your local hells angel's, toronto chapter, your bike will nerver get screwed with or stolen. true fact.

Good idea! Lol! I know a couple of guys from there that would help me out if it ever did happen!

I've got a few stickers... I love stickers!
The FZ6 has none, but I might end up throwing a small 3" replica number plate that I have on the MX bike or my race team name on the tank.
The MX bike. Most of the companies that are in my graphics either support me with parts and discounts or are parts that are on the bike.
Trailer it's the same thing, plus I have my race team decals and race numbers all over it.
Truck back window has a side that is MX supporters and a buddies mx magazine company. The other side of the back window has the stickers that come with my guns.
Pretty much all legit stickers to have up on my stuff. Sometimes they add to the look, and sometimes they take away from it.

One of my biggest pet peeve... Fox or Metal Mulisha stickers when the person driving the vehicle doesn't ride. If you don't live a certain way of life, don't portray it that you do to look "bad ***".
However, I love pulling up beside a rusted out civic with a huge Fox sticker in the back window, driver's seat leaned back, cheap shades on and a hat with the tag still on it. Having that guy look over to stare at my race bike in the bed of my truck on my way to the track makes my day!
