Why are so many riders dependent on others going out of their way to not kill them?

me5eju3u.jpg

since we are ranting about other riders, here are a few of my pet peeves

- Riders who use the wrong lane position and complain about being cut off.
Example, i was in my cage the other day and passed a rider in the left lane (flow of traffic) but this guy was on the left side of the left lane so completely in my mirrors blind spot, not only that but, he was also perfectly behind my b pillar. Had I not known that he was there in the first place, would have ended up cutting him off.

- Riders who weave all over their lane, so you can never position your bike behind them.

- People in cars and bikes who brake in the middle of a turn cause they entered too fast.

Just because you THINK thats the right lane position it doesnt mean it is. Whenever i ride on the highway i'll usually stick to the far left lane and stay in the left tire track.

Why? So i have a way out when everyone slams on the brakes because they see a construction cone or some tow truck lights.

As for you almost cutting off that rider, you don't just take one peak in the mirror and change lanes. You do it multiple times and move your head and actually look at the lane before you make the lane change. Had you done that you'd actually see him. Hell if people can see you beside them in a tractor trailer you have no excuse in a car/van/suv.

You loose all credibility when you say you are afraid for your LIFE protecting your family when you in return try to kill somone else's family member and take their LIFE by running them over! .

..the problem with the world is there too many SISSY BOYS like you driving around thinking you're hard! and not willing to shed blood, sweat or tears for anything these days.

..i doubt, you would even open your mouth to a guy who cut you off in a coffee line or while walking downtown in rush hour, i have been hit by a truck and was paralized and spent more then 30 grand & 2 years in rehab, seeing a shrink, while needing the help and will of God to recover, while the driver got away with it all, flying through a parking lot with over 100 people, why because it was on private property where i was riding my cycle and he could not be charged, and the kid who hit me was the type that only cared about his truck not me when i was lying dead on the ground ( i saw the otherside and "he" saved my life and gave me a second chance at life).... people actually ran to the scene called the cops and others not him, he would have ran off, but after i recovered in my mind i forgave that scumbag because i knew he would get his one day. SO F YOUR RUNNING BIKERS OVER ATTITUDE buddy and everyone on earth who feels the same way. If you run over a biker, your kid will grow up to be a biker who will get run over by the bikers kid who will be driving a huge cage...karma.

Im also the type of guy who stood up for a girl i knew in college, after a party some guys were trying to attack this girl, knowing i was too drunk to defend her, and campus security was hiding/pusssies, cops were out busy chasing bikers doing wheelies, while her brother stood there doing nothing i went and helped her, even though i got beat to inches of my life by 6-7 sober football sized guys, they all ran away after seeing they went too far, thats what a REAL man does to protect the people he loves, be willing to GIVE YOUR LIFE UP for them to protect them, not willing to take someones life instead, that would make you equally as stupid or bad, but i know most people like you are selfish and fear things, the type to give up your liberty for security, so when you come across a guy like me on the street, who is not afraid to die, willing to die for others and believes in God with all his might, that'll be the day you find out how SOFT you are tough guy! even if you run me over, i will get back up...like i did before, only to become stronger then before mnetally and phyzically, you better pray you don't run into a biker or person who is like this.

See if you knew anything about righteousness, had a proper up bringing, and got your azz beat, and knew anything about God rather then try to act like him, you would try to live like him knowing these things. With power comes curruption, with absolute power comes absolute curruption, the big cages your in makes you think you have power, the more powerful you feel the less powerful in real life you are.

as for the nonsense of that bikers are careless because the way they ride, put a go pro in your car or truck front back and to the sides and drive around GTA without BREAKING ONE SINGLE law or by law, then come talk, and notice not one driver follows the law around you either! most bikers break laws because the cagers don't follow those laws in the first place and it would hinder bike saftey by following the laws, and if drivers didn't brake laws in the first places, bikers would not need to ride like flies to avoid all the dangers, toronto is so bad, that if you follow sensible riding in some instances because of so many impatient cagers, the biker has a better chance surviving driving around quick, filtering, taking short cuts etc. and sometimes with a decent cager crowd the rider rides sensibly, riders have to adapt to the cagers around them, and it pisses most bikers off when they are following the rules or want to and cagers come on their tail and cell phoes weaving, and all only then to blame bikers at the end if something happens...with the biker going from having a nice calm cruise to now ripping around trying to get away from ever scum bag on 4 wheels.

At the end of the day if a biker goes that far to break check you, most likely you started the shiiit! no one starts shiit for NO REASON!

I agree with the above quote however

you are retarded, people like you get run over and blame the guy in the car all because you couldn't care to make yourself more visible.
Ps. i dont THINK i KNOW that is the position to make yourself more visible.
Ok, maybe you've come up behind me in traffic.
I will weave in my lane when I see a rider approaching from behind.
I have had too many bad experiences with riders coming up behind and riding beside me or crowding me.
I will weave around in my lane to make the other rider uncomfortable, so that they no longer wish to be behind me, and to make sure that they do not ride too close to me.

Even if traffic comes to a complete stop, I have no interest in talking to the other rider. They tend to be jerks and cut into my lane, and do other stupid stuff, just because I said hi to them.

I see no reason to do this on a single lane road when the other rider is good 3 seconds behind you. you make yourself look like a drunken fool.

You just started riding correct? Maybe you should learn how to turn first before you start spewing crap to others about how to ride. Seriously though, look at your damn blind spots when you're driving, if more people lived by the idea that they have responsibility with every outcome, regardless of right or wrong, our streets would be a much better place.

And for the record, if I'm bored as hell in traffic, I will start snaking in my own lane...and I've got a group of friends who do the same even on group rides. Guess we're all drunk right?

Sorry to say this, but I really think If it were me in the Range Rover with my family in the car, I would have done the same thing.
I would hope I would steer clear of any rider, but mowing down a few bikes to get away, would seem like a good idea.

I might think it through a bit more, because I would know that there would be no way in hell of actually making an escape from a group of sport bikes, but that may seem like a good idea at the time.

spent more then 30 grand & 2 years in rehab
30k to recover from paralysis? man, you scored a huge deal there.

get over it whiny boy.

btw, 5 years of rehab, 17 surgeries, permanent injury, chronic pain, disfigurement, and permanent loss of function

Come back with your opinions when you have atleast 1/10th my riding/driving experience and then talk. That is if you're still alive...

BTW name calling is against the rules on this forum...you wont be here long if you can't follow the rules.

But I watched twist of the wrist twice, I'm a pro!

Ha Ha. That is really funny. If I watch it twice will that me the best?

No. If you watch it twice, you'll be a pro.

If you watch it 3 times, you'll be the best.

Personally, I prefer Twist II over I, and the Proficient Motorcycling series seems much better.
But then again I don't do track.

Always wondered this, too. I hear so many riders talk about how they get to work quicker because they can weave through traffic and whatnot but then when I'm actually behind them (on car or bike) it's just a sea of brake lights behind that rider as everyone slams on their brakes trying not to run him over.

Why do you always go off sharing these fake personal stories as if any of us give a ****? Sounds to me you should have spent some of that money on a psychiatrist.

Well from a few posts lately. One brake check by you on your bike won't make me touch my brakes. Don't drive like a ****** bag and you won't die.

A peruse through the myriad of YouTube videos of bike crashes just shows that most crashes are caused by the rider, not the "cager".

Motorcycles tend to attract younger riders who are impulsive, don't consider consequences of their actions. Most of those guys either quit or sh*t their pants the first time something big happens.

Correction : sport bikes attract younger riders. Lots of older idiots are attracted to cruisers..
