Why are italians so stubborn and tempremental?

And years ago I swore I’d never own an Italian bike or a minivan and that a house would be the most expensive thing I’d ever buy, yet here we are.
People change, things change, new information comes along.
The circle of life....
What did you buy that cost more than a house?

I see this as pretty entertaining @bigpoppa, two years ago? you were kicking Ducati, Ducati owners, the Ducatista with almost all the distain and fervor usually held out for Harleys here, and yet here you are bemoaning how hard it may be to join the club. The circle of life....
If it's the thread I think it is, I never railed against Ducatis or their owners, but at the notion that an executive would call a 20k bike accessible

So I just got off the phone with my guy at apex, was thinking about buying a certain model and was wondering if they have it in stock, he said nope.
I asked if they can place an order for it...he checks something in the computer to see when/if they will be shipping it...
comes back and says they wont be shipping that model(multistrada V4 base model)...and I cant place on order for it either...

He proceeds to explain that they cant actually tell ducati what models they want shipped, essentially telling me "what you get is what you get"
Not sure what your thread title has got to do with trying to order a bike model that Ducati aren’t shipping to Canada. All the manufacturers have bike models they don’t sell in Canada.

Apex has all models of the MTS V4 "ready to order".I think they have a V4S on the floor. It is prolly sold.

Correct, they have a V4S aviator for 28k, the rest are "ready to order" but as I found out, the base model isnt ready to order

To be honest, I'm sure the Italians didn't want you riding any of their bikes either..
But, a minivan suits you. Bland and meh. Just like your diet of gerbil food.
Hehehehe. :D:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:;)

They actually have a bunch but they called all of the local Ducati owners and we told them what to do, it is an exclusive club, we don't let just anyone in.... :)

If you are any vehicle maker and you have COVID supply chain problems, you are selling every single vehicle you make and you just cant keep up... are you making base models with the lowest margins or higher models with larger margins?

The OEMs are certainly not slowing down, regardless of the supply chain problems.

I think Ducati and Lamborghini are now German products made in Italy.

if you have ever worked for a German company you will know the fatherland calls the shots

Does this have anything to do with the silicon shortage? It's impacting nearly every industry.
