I've not heard of riding motorbikes in the Don Valley green belt, either.

Trials, do you have any photos less than one hundred years old?

lol maybe on Ilford black and white slide film ... when you are stuck in traffic next time on the DVP look down or beside the roadway.

Yes that is why I actually got it, so I can explore a bit off road. Street riding was getting a bit boring.

To my surprise, it only went down by only $40 a year. Many companies were actually refusing to insure my little 250. My gsxr 750 was $643 with wawanesa and TD was the lowest for wr ($603). Other companies were asking $1100 min. Cooperators could do for $558 but they want my truck to be insured with them too. The savings were non existent. So I went with TD.
How are you getting screwed that bad on insurance?

My wr250x is $250 a year as a second bike (through TD Meloche Monnex).
Well, technically it is $350, but it dropped my other bike policy by $100 a year for the multi-bike discount.

Bike looks good. Well kept.

Thanks about the bike comment :)

I honestly don't know. I called brokers and companies, and did not get very good answers. May be your postal code is different and age? I am 33, M license, Toronto and I have one minor speeding ticket (10 over). The agent said the ticket costed me $40 extra per year. Okay, I can live with that. But I was expecting somewhere in $4xx in terms of premium.

I have to say given your details it does seem like an extremely high rate that you’re being charged

To be clear I’m assuming you quoted monthly payments. If those numbers are annually then that is actually very good.

yearly lol....there is no way I would be paying $600/month for any vehicle insurance...

Last ride of the 2020 year for me.

Has been 3-4 weeks for me. Getting itchy for a ride but aside from that one Friday I missed out on a few weeks ago because it was too late when I got home from work...it's not worked out.

Going to be nice ice riding tomorrow  plus one,
Canadians are always happy when it's plus one.

Just checking the prices on those bikes, seem reasonable. seems around the same price as a nc750x

Yup. VStrom 650. The day I sold my Hayabusa I saw an ad on Kijiji selling a 2 yr old bike for really cheap. I called the guy, he said he had 30 calls on the bike. I told him was could be there in 6 hours with the cash, he promised to hold the bike, planned on buying it for my kid as an upgrade for his Ninja 260.

I jumped on a bus and 5 hours later it was mine. Rode it back. After 4 hours on the bike I decided the kid could find his own replacement.

Honestly I never intended to keep it, I bought it because it was a screaming deal. After riding it for a while I stared to love the bike. I have a few bikes, it’s my go to these days. It’s not the best at anything, but it’s good at everything.

Comfortable in the city or on a 1500km day, reliable, sporty enough for running with STs, tough enough for fire road riding with big enduros.

I’ve met hundreds of DL owners in the last few years, the all seem to love their bikes.
