The Biebs can play 4 instruments (not sure how well). Will be interesting to see what kind of music he makes when his fan base gets through puberty.
As far as Drake goes, Hotline Bling is actually deep lyrically if you hear some of the southern hip hop. My kid been listening to some I hit the Quad type shite. Reminds me of Soldier boy tell em. Not allowed in my casa. And who tf named these guys anyway? Wocka Flocka? Fetty Wap? Pfft. I got Joe Bass on lock down.

I tend to take pride in Canadian talent and success.
Like a lot of entertainers, their personal lives reported in the media sure made it hard to support.
It's not my style of music and feel it's fairly generic industry produced crap. But even though it's crap, he does come from a relatively small community and made some noise. So good for him.
I often wonder the either love em or hate em attitude towards Canadian entertainers.
You got very polarizing opinions towards Shania, The Hip, Avril, Rush, Brian Adams, Celine, Nickle Back etc.
It's almost a fad to hate on Canadian singers.
Don't know how Drake has avoided the hate? That last song almost mocks having talent to rap or sing or dance???

Youre right. I dont exclusively dislike this kid and his music. Most of today's pop music are just empty meaningless nonsense that get famous by repetition in media.
So i feel the same way about Drakes music, Jayz Rihanna, Kanye and all the rest of them. But this thread was asking about Bieber so people tak about Bieber.
Again, when you have complex and very substantial music out there both old and new, its hard to get into the pop music and not feel like your brain cells are screaming for some stimulation.
I agree with this completely. I get real down in public places being forced to listen to the worst of the worst. For what? What's the end game? I love music and this garbage I'm forced to endure while spending money in shops is going to turn rampager some day. It's already happened at work and it was not pretty.
There's these new fangled inventions called iPods.

I've seen the guy in the chair playing pool at the Prince Edward.
Meh to me it's just another artist that's the product of the money making marketing machine. Don't like, or dislike him for that matter. He was given a shot, took it, and ran with it. I say enjoy it while it lasts.

why doees music have to be reflectian of me? why does music have to be all smurt and stuff? sometimes, we just enjoy it b/c it make us feel guud. nut b/c it is complux or smurt and stuff. if that war the case, then why isnt everyone listenin to Xenakiss, Steve Reiich, Gérard Grisey, and John Cagge?
