Who's dreaming up something big for next year?

Probably just another ride to the west coast with a stop somewhere in Sask. to do some gopher shootin'

'Flirting with the idea of accompanying a buddy to Tuk, but that'll depend on getting my ADV bike situation sorted out over the winter.
I can't see myself riding an FJR over the Dempster Hwy.

Of course everything is contingent upon how the whole covid conspiracy pans out

I think fatality rates changes are as expected. Old and vulnerable are better protected, younger less vulnerable fast and loose.

I’m hoping the southern herd is safe to mingle with next year. I have stuff down there that is missing me.

I used to spin down to kingston for lunch. Damn good indian. Gone now. The Sweet Oven in Barrie has the best butter tarts I've found so far. For a real old-school bakery that smells awesome and makes delicious things Impressions bakery in Listowel is pretty amazing.

there is also a great bakery in neustadt if you are into riding another few k's north. awesome cinnabuns
 
Belleville used to have a great Indian spot too - Silk Route
it was in the old Clarion hotel that burned to the ground

great Indian place down here in Cuenca - Namaste

When I was in Dryden, the choices were chain crap or an indian restaurant. Easy choice. Not my favorite indian food, but guy was busting his ass with a smile. He got all the business from us that week.

in mississauga at the south west corner of mavis and britannia behind the CT store is a indian restaurant i think called the "golden spoon" have to check that. they great food and lots of choices

I grew up there, age 7 to 19

was a sh1t-kicker town in those days
perfect fit for a Scottish immigrant family

the times I've been back, hardly recognize the place

They have the opposite problem. I am not in Brampton enough to try them all and find the best one. I have determined that Hakka Indian is not my preferred style from Brampton (although I am not against trying it from another source as maybe I just had bad luck).

Our fav spot is a dosa veggie place called anna laxmi on hurontario/bovaird

good food, great prices
 
I was actually thinking about setting up a roti ride - maybe a monthly thing on Saturdays or Sundays. Start the day around 7am and ride up north along twisty roads til 5pm. Then stuff face with roti somewhere in the GTA and go home to sleep the roti ride off. A different roti joint each month, sampling the various ways different cultures do it up.
 
There's a tiny little truckstop on top of a big hill off the Interstate south of Wilkes Barre PA that has the best patty melt on the face of the planet. I'd never had one before in my life (they're not a thing here) until I stopped there circa 1994 when I first started driving commercially. I stopped there every single time I ever passed afterwards for many years until I stopped running the USA. I craved those things. To this day when travelling if I see a patty melt on a menu, that's my dinner.

I guess I have a destination for a ride next summer lol.

I think the border will reopen some time probably May or June-ish. Once the weather starts to warm up so people are outdoors more vs indoors and the vaccine is starting to roll out, I think things will relax a little. Regardless, any trips to the USA will probably still be motocamping and minimal contact type affairs for me at least.
