Who owns a SuperSport and goes speed limit

How much did you get the complete bike for? I was looking for one but after imports fees and all it just was too expensive.
$4500
At that price range why not go for a 250/300?

Or do you just like riding a rare bike in the city.

One thing i love about the RS125 is the riding position is much more aggressive. Not upright like most low cc bikes.
It's faster than the 250, at least on paper, and has much more character/is more fun to ride. It's got better suspension, chassis, and brakes than those other models, as well. Wanted cheap insurance while still being fun and unique. Considering buying a 250/350 2 stroke now (just for something different) but will probably end up staying with my 125.

I like vehicles with character. Like with my 944 there are many things that are faster but it's still fun. I enjoy driving it more than I did the 09 WRX265 I had for awhile. Another one of my favorite cars was my 01 Jetta TDI and that's also not a fast car but the diesel torque was nice and it was kind of different than other cars.

The 4 stroke 125's and 250's are just boring. Like Toyotas of the bike world.

Yup, you'd have to be pretty freaking stupid to do something like that:

Hah! It's the IOM police doing the investigating. Martin is a living legend who's brought the IOM to the attention of a crapload of people. How deep will the inspectors dig before the whole thing goes away. Besides, Martin could just tell them he was dictating the article via Dragon and he was actually talking about a strawberry shortcake recipe. The software did the best it could, but nobody can really understand him without subtitles. Lol.

There's a lot of guys on SS bikes that go fast in straight lines.... Those same guys have square tyres lol.

I have square tires

They're lovely folks that give you nice yellow pieces of paper commending you on your official speed, if you win the prize, they give you a nice pair of silver bracelets and a complementary ride in their cars!

+1 highly recommend.
Sounds very tempting. Where do I sign up?

haha, damn them PRG trying to make a buck off us!

Well no.. it wouldn't be the "PRGs" making money off you, it would be your own government. So, at least now that's clarified on who should be targeted if you want things to change. lol.

How about the cbr250rr fire blade. It has an inline 4 engine and hits about 200km/hr.

i just watched some rs125 video vs other bikes/Cars! Now I definitely want one lol.

If you send me a decently affordable ad for one and parts aren't crazy hard to find and The Personal will insure it for a decent rate, I'd likely be all over it.

Since I saw some discussion about a Ninja 300 at 180 kph being too slow, I'll chime in and say I know a guy that told me his Hyabusa is too slow and he wants to supercharge it. He left a video of himself doing 245 through traffic on the 400 on my Drift camera when I lent it to him a couple years ago. His riding buddies were going faster (he wasn't keeping up). I think he's crazy. He told me he doesn't ride crazy but on my way to work one day he passed me in my lane, slammed his brakes in front of me (since there were two cars in front of me), and split between the cars. He was at over 100 in a 50. Some people just like the risk, I guess.

Having a little bike that goes that fast is kinda like coming out of the closet. You'll surprise a few people, but you're still gay...

That's cool. I have no problem with homosexuals. Didn't think homophobia was still trendy, though.

Says the rider that's been riding for 1 month

You got a problem with gay people bro?

hes probably a new rider that picked up his hyabusa as his first bike. No worries, this gay hating bastard will probably be dead by end of year.

The funny thing is all the track guys I know are obsess with the low cc power machine. Because they know they have way better handling on corners and can smoke a 600 on the track. Can be embarrassing being taken over by a 125 when you rocking a 600 ss.

180km/hr(190 in the original post),consistently on a 300? (Yes, I saw the video.)

It is indeed fun to push a small bike to its limits....but all the time, you are asking for trouble

Instead of riding like a goof on the streets and highways, he should be taking it to the track.

If he thinks the 300 is too slow and gets an ss, and keeps riding the way he does, he'll either be pushing up daisies or making license plates in the near future

Does anyone with a motor-vehicle drive the "speed limit" in Ontario? When limits are set low to accommodate the police and insurance lobby (the people who gain the most from the artificially low speed limits) everyone is a criminal.

A better question would be "if you own a supersport bike - what strategies have you developed to keep the speeds reasonable while you're on public roads?".

My strategy: buy bikes that sound good at slow speeds, v-twins, V4, some triples...a four-banger is just going to make you want to hoon.

--

Your buddy with the 300 is going to get in trouble...even if he doesn't crash or get hurt...his bike will certainly go fast enough to get a 172/tow, but it isn't fast enough to get away from the cops, so...I hope he wises up.
