Bump for the beginning of helicopter season. I couldn't figure out why the guy on 7th Conc. could land his helicopters in his front yard. Then I remembered there's a registered airfield across the road. Maybe he gets to piggyback on the airspace? Doesn't explain why the guy at 125 Ridge Rd. E. gets to land his on his lawn though. $$$$?

Grimsby Airpark isn't too far away geographically, maybe it's the same deal? Though I have no idea if there is much in the way of rules telling them they can or can't do that. The bird definitely doesn't "live" there, home base seems to be the Hamilton Airport
Edit: And it just so happens it was doing laps today. I'm getting used to it... sort of? I figure (hope) at one point they will piss off one of the other millionaires and then a fight will ensue
It's not easy to find a definition of built-up area. A subdivision, hamlet or open air grouping of six or more people counts as built-up There is an argument that the property is big enough that it is not a built-up area and therefore landing is allowed. I have been seeing C-FBLU around off and on this year, but it seemed like it wasn't landing on Ridge Road anymore. I was thinking maybe they got a warning or complaints or something, but I just caught them doing it again today
It's been quiet. The sub compact has been in front of the garage for the last few days. Oil change!

There was a helicopter in my marketplace listings suggestions. I've never searched for aircraft for sale so I guess FB just figured "Hey have you ever considered buying a helicopter?"
I have no idea what goes on in buddy's head. The micro has been out on the front lawn with a rotor tether put on for 3+ weeks now and one of the larger ones showed up this week and is now out back in front of the garage. Collecting helicopters can't be a cheap hobby.
I have a vague suspicion that they're a dealer/broker

I thought the same thing as i seen one landing one day and asked him about it.
I don’t think he is open to everyone with a chopper just certain clients
I know it sounds like B/S, next time i run the back road to mount forest I’ll snap a couple of photos
Maybe the dude works here and flies them home.

A friend's grandfather was a airplane mechanic (Cessna etc), did a lot of work out of his home in Toronto, engine repairs. We did a walk through after he past, a lot of very unusual stuff for a house. 2 garages, with hoists, side ramp entrances/loading, chemical lab in basement. I could see how this would raise the attention of neighbours.
