Who is riding to dover next friday?

It's cool....lots of bikes and people to check out what could be wrong with that? Just the sporty bunch cry...cuz it ain't all about them...lol.

For what it's worth, it's a cool place to visit for once. I'm not going again for the next few years tho =)

This is our GTAM ride to PD13 last summer:

If your bike's air cooled (like mine), beware! PD's a stop-and-go traffic nightmare. Went last summer, and never seen my bike get that hot. There were a few times I thought my engine would seize, but luckily it didn't.

Considering how much I think Harley's, and their riders, are pretty useless I actually kind of enjoy it.

Mostly because it's a good ride down if you know the right way. Decent food. Maybe hop in the lake for a swim. Usually head out to longpoint and back in the afternoon.

I always enjoy the day, hit Dover early, come home via Owen Sound, Parry Sound, and back roads home to niagara.

Have that day off and nothing better to do, so I've been thinking about it. Been to PD before when riding though that area, just to see the town, but I've never been on an actual 13th. Spending the day in miserable traffic is not how I wanna spend the day though (my bike HATES that and so do I)... really not sure whether I'll go or just ride somewhere else.

Since I have to work, I plan to head to Dover from Oakville at 3 p.m. I did that last year and notice that traffic going west on the QEW was moving well. However, I did notice a number of motorbikes leaving Dover heading up HWY 6. Looked like a parade. LOL

Yeah, this is mostly a sport bike forum so adding a warning just so OP doesn't get scared when he's surrounded by 1000s of half naked, tattoed, 50 year old, Harley dudes. ;)

He needs a warning?....lol. Don't be scared most don't bite...they don't have teeth anyways. As ridiculous as it gets, some people actually believe all this crazy wacked out crap...can't associate or be around Harley bikers. Give it a break...2 friggin wheels dudes....no matter how you adjust it....it's still same people sharing the same fun of riding motorcycles. You kids got some growin up to do....lol. Still believe the boogie man is under your beds..?...lol.

Thanks for the video. Confirmed that I never want to go there..

Btw.. Timmies must do amazing sales...

oh man, that looks so boring

I only go to PD13 if weather is real bad. Don't want to waste perfect riding day, there. If the weather's nice I'll take back roads thru Mount Pleasant, Waterford etc. to Simcoe Timmies. Plenty bikes to see there and coming/going. Like a southern Belfountain.
