Nice when you can partner up. What kind of splitter you running? I have a wallenstein 510. Been a good little splitter but I need to mod it. Would like a rack to stop halves from falling off rail and add a horizontal wedge too.

I suspect he meant splitting the cost.

we have some cheap log splitter, it's yellow and does the job (since most wood is already split when we get it).

The same can be said about a gas grill /BBQ. Tis easy and you can be grilling in 5 mins opposed to 30+ mins. But the flavour just isn't there. Now a gas stove in the house. I miss that!

Not quite a fair comparison, but I know what your getting at. People are willing to give up quality for convenience. That's an unfortunate trend these days.

Maybe I should say a gas fireplace will warm the room but a wood fireplace will warm your soul*
