I took some pictures for you of the situation incase there is any damage to your mirror or fairings.

Saw this bike/owner on the way to union a few times...if he's there tonight I'll leave a note on the bike incase he doesn't frequent the forum

I'm not a fan of touching moments in life.

you may want to blank out his plate.

I thought about that but in case he needs the pictures as evidence for his insruance or police then the plate needs to be on there.

shoulda took a pic from the other angle to see the bumper actually touch the bike.

Wow what an *** hole, didnt even move forward after making contact with the bike.....Id be really ****** if there was any damage, we had an insurance claim on the exact same GSXR this year. And that side fairing took over a month to come in from Suzuki! So even if it doesnt cost him anything chances are he will have to wait a long time

That moron would have 4 flat tires and a broken windshield if i was standing there.

vavle stem tool on a key chain is always good to carry around, someone ruins your day...4 missing valve stems can ruin thiers lol

That maroon van is always doing some stupid crap in that area. Guy's a ******....

I just want to say that I think taking pics like this is great, good job OP. For those of us petrified that some ******* is going to reverse into or knock over a bike, this evidence of ********* behaviour is invaluable. Anyone know if these pics are good enough/contain enough info to turn into the cops as evidence of hit and run or similar?

Everything from Japan right now will take a long time to get over here.

Not sure if it's just me but that bike looks pretty straigh up, good thing he didn't go a bit farther and knock it over into the other one(s).

Not really. All it shows is contact at a specific point in time when neither vehicle is in motion, not how the contact occurred in the first place. Possible scenarios are:

  1. The van backed against the bike making slight contact.
  2. The owner of the white bike took the last possible inch of space and parked against the van.
  3. The white bike was originally parked further away from the van. Then the red bike seen in the photo to the right of the white bike arrived, decided he didn't want to park right behind the van, and so instead moved the white bike against the van and took what was originally the white bike's spot.
  4. Someone completely removed from all of the vehicles decided to play a prank and prop the white bike up against the van, perhaps in hopes of starting a game of motorcycle dominoes when the van owner returned and went to leave the parking spot.
Some scenarios are more probably than others, but all are possible. Without a witness who actually saw contact when it was being made, there's no chance of conviction unless someone (van driver or otherwise) confesses to the deed.

That's because the picture is taken at an angle (see sidewalk). But yeah that would be devastating if that van made dominoes. Good work looking out for each other!

Yes that is why its nice when other brands like Kawi, Yam, and Honda, actually have parts here in Canada. Suzuki never seems to have anything here in canada everything is always backordered to Japan...

And reguarless 1 month + is too long even from Japan, Ive never waited over 3 weeks for a backordered Kawi or Honda part....
