My personal preference is the CBR. I'm not a big fan of Ducatis. But it all depends on your preferences. Buy what makes you happy.
 
Depends what your looking for! Not an expert but I am pretty sure that the Ducati has better performance, but will take a hell of a lot more to upkeep. Also pretty sure the Ducatti will cost way more. If it was me I would get the Honda just cause I'm not ready for the Ducatti.

the performance is better in what way? The Ducatis maintenance are now down to almost the same as the Japanese.

To the Op .......all the bike mags this month seem to have reviews of the litre bikes, and do a search online for the reviews from last year. The ducati has traction control, the Honda can have ABS.

Ajaxguy thinks yamasaki should stick with his name and get a yamaha, kawasaki or maybe even a suzuki instead!
 
The Duc is a torture device, the CBR less so.
