Where's Covid today?

Tetanus bacteria live mainly in soil, dust and manure, but can be found anywhere. You can become infected if the bacterium enters your bloodstream through an open wound. Tetanus can be prevented with vaccination, but immunity lessens over time, so booster doses are needed to ensure you are protected.
Some people who have been vaccinated against chickenpox can still get the disease, called breakthrough chickenpox. However, they usually have milder symptoms with fewer or no blisters (or just red spots), a mild or no fever, and are sick for a shorter period of time than people who are not vaccinated.
even something like shingles ...you can still get the infection but will be milder as you have the antibodies.

Short of living in a bubble there are few absolute protections.

Polio can be pretty much protected against....the biggest thing is to eradicate any pockets...they almost did it.

4 of us had it in the last month , quite mild , but Covid none the less . It will never go away , it’s the new flu version however documented cases are on the rise apparently. I’m not worried about it , I’ve now had it three times . But it affects many people differently, and it is still related to deaths .

Covid itself not the risk, long covid and/or cumulative damage to the immune system is where the risk lies....and the medicos simply do not have a handle on it yet. Best avoided.
They don't yet understand why some never get it despite close exposure. The numbers in the UK for long covid are disastrous for the medical system and of course those affected.

That is the big question. Co morbidity, quarantines, varying incubation times, vaccine status, exposure, and healthy genes all make guarantees impossible. Discussing nano risks on a motorcycle forum seems silly.

My biggest concern is my sister is flying in an aluminum tube with hundreds of unknown people for 18 hours. The C-19 situation in NZ isn't a lot different than here. Sanitize, space out and mask up isn't the norm anymore.

Long covid is the biggest fear.
