How does one go about resurfacing rotors? I've seen videos where they are put on a lathe and cut down, but I've also read that this is only done on cars because they have ticker rotors.
Any DIY options for this? I don't mind spending the time if there is something I can do myself, but I'd prefer no to buy new rotors or spend the equivalent getting these cleaned up.
Rotors look fine, if you aren't going to run a dial indicator then don't worry about them, M/C rotors are very expensive. Check your sliders, they might be seized. Also, you should avoid brake cleaner on the calipers, its better not to get it on the piston seals, just use a degreaser or soap and water. As for the fluid level, it should be at full with a set of new pads but if its 2 years old it should be flushed anyway. Oops I've said too much again...
