Where do you buy your whey protein and what brand?

supplements canada ships next day and seems to have good pricing.

For taste: Either champrion nutrition cookies and cream OR Cytosport cocoa bean.

What I use right now is Ultimate nutrition Natural Whey in chocolate. No artificial sweeteners etc and it tastes pretty good in milk.

Understand that whey is considered a supplement and is not a regulated industry. Consumer reports did a study and found out that a lot of whey protein has somewhat dangerous levels of heavy metals in them.

Please use sparingly!

I've tried a pile of them and for me, the BioX brands taste the best, hands down. I've also liked some of the IsoFlex flavours, but they're $pendy. If you're going to live with the powder day to day, it can't taste like crap. Another I've recently tried because there was a good sale on it was Gaspari's isolate, which is both tasty and mixes thick like a milkshake... but it's too $pendy to buy regularly.

I buy it online from one of three different Canadian sources, usually. However, there's one last piece of advice I have... for about the best price around, Walmart's Body Fortress brand (I think it's actually MuscleTech?) is $14 for two pounds stateside or $18 for two pounds here... and the isolate version is only a few dollars more. It tastes pretty good and many people have had good results with it, if you look for reviews.

At least I don't have to worry about getting cancer along the road

You sure about that? Chickens in this country are loaded with just as many dangerous chemicals, anti-biotics and in some cases, growth hormones.

My dad was actually a chicken farmer 20-30 years ago....I dont remember much because I was very young at the time, but I know he left the industry altogether because of all the additives the chickens were to be receiving.

The truth of the matter is, I prefer to take my carcinogens "indirectly" rather than "directly".

Plus, growth hormones is good for muscle development. Ask any meat head in the gym

Edit: Just for me to add, I have always gone natural. I'm sure ppl know that there are lots of natural sources of proteins, a variety of nuts, soybeans, skimmed milk (hmmm, all the growth hormones in that too), egg whites, lean beef, etc.

OP, why not just get proteins from the real food? If you're just starting out, there's no way you actually NEED protein shakes to get your protein in.

I would say that I'm intermediate-level and I'm doing just fine making sure that I eat a good meal after my workout and throughout the week. I actually find my gains to be very slightly slower than when I was on protein, but they last way longer (ie when I used to miss a couple of weeks 'cause of exams).

But then again, maybe it was just the protein that I was taking - maybe some of the more serious gym heads can chime in...

You are missing out

Try this

PC 6-Berry Frozen Fruit Blend
Spinach
Ice
Honey
Protein Whey
Bananas
Banana Yogurt

Throw in to blender ... and yes it blends.
